The Studebaker name, popularized by the well-known Studebaker Automobile Manufacturing Company, is a family legacy. The company closed its doors in March 1966, but the family line is still continuing. Today, these Studebakers are spread across America and are still the same hard working, highly skilled, innovative, and ethical people that they have always been.
After considering many possible company names, Studebaker Automation stood out; not because of the cars, but what the Studebaker name stands for.
Studebaker Automations president, Timothy A. Clauss, is a direct descendant of Heinrich Studebaker and is a member of the SNFA (Studebaker Foundation National Association), which documents his genealogy to this prestigious family. As other Studebakers are, Timothy is skilled, driven, innovative, intelligent, and hard working.
Timothy A. Clauss was born outside of South Bend, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University. After his time in college, he spent 25 years designing machinery, automation systems, and has multiple experiences traveling around the world to install them.
Now, Timothy is opening the doors to Studebaker Automation, based on the basic Studebaker principles: work, skill, innovation, and ethics.
